Achievements

1. Faculty and students have successfully received a grant of 10 patents across various domains, including Renewable Energy, the Internet of Things (IoT), Electronics, and more.

2. Vidhan Rajput, a student from the 2025 graduating batch, has been honored with the prestigious Best Outgoing Student of the Year award for 2025. This remarkable achievement highlights the pride of the Electrical Engineering Department. Vidhan's exceptional academic record, exemplary leadership, and consistent involvement in a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities have rightfully earned him this recognition.

3. Vidhan Mukesh Singh Rajput, a final-year student, secured a GATE score of 29.67 with an impressive All India Rank of 5287, qualifying successfully. Sara Thakur from the 2024 pass-out batch also performed remarkably well with a score of 29.33 and an AIR of 5473. Another final-year student, Harsh Duryodhan Bangre, secured a score of 23 and qualified with an AIR of 9952. These achievements reflect the department's continued commitment to academic excellence and its success in preparing students for national-level competitive examinations.

4. Sakshi Mahajan from the 2024 pass-out batch has been awarded the Best Outgoing Student of the Year 2024, marking a significant achievement for the Electrical Engineering Department. Her outstanding academic performance, leadership qualities, and active participation in various activities have contributed to this recognition.

5. Prathamesh Nakade from the Maharashtra Directorate has achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Best Flying Contingent award and securing 2nd place as the Best Air Contingent at the All-India Vayu Sainik Camp.

6. Anukul Amit Ghosh from the Electrical Engineering Department participated in the prestigious "Pop Culture Hiroshima 2024" event in Japan as part of the team representing India. His involvement in this international event showcases his talent and dedication beyond academics.

7. The Student Solar Ambassador Program, organised by EESA in collaboration with the Energy Swaraj Foundation, was successfully conducted on 2nd October 2024. 80 enthusiastic students, faculty members, and esteemed guests participated in the event.

8. The Electrical Engineering Department, Government College of Engineering Nagpur, has successfully implemented a 110-kW solar rooftop system to reduce electricity bills and promote energy savings.

9. The Electrical Engineering Department, Government College of Engineering Nagpur has been awarded a ₹25 lakh grant from MEDA under the Urja Sanvardhan Pathdarshi Prakalpa. Under this Prakalpa, all old fixtures will be replaced by energy-saving fixtures.

10. Sakshi Mahajan, a final-year Electrical student, represented the Maharashtra Directorate at the All-India Vayu Sainik Camp held at Bangalore from 22 Oct 23 to 6th Nov 23. Sakshi Mahajan has represented the Maharashtra Directorate as a Senior Cadet and participated in Drone Training and Line area competitions. In this National Level Camp, Maharashtra Directorate won the Trophy of Best Contingent in Flying and Best Air Contingent - Runners up.

11. Ishita Bhaladhare, a final-year Electrical student has participated in ALL INDIA NAU-SAINIK Camp NCC-2023 held in Lonavala and won gold medals in Seamanship and Semaphore. Ishita Bhaladhare has also participated in the Intergroup competition held in Nashik NAU-SAINIK CAMP-2023 and won a gold medal in Seamanship.
